Shipping & Delivery Policy

At Belgstrew, we take great care to make sure every cake reaches you fresh, intact, and beautifully presented. Since cakes are delicate and perishable, we use trusted delivery partners and follow a carefully managed delivery process.

1. Order Fulfilment Options

You can receive your order in either of the following ways:

Store Pickup

You can collect your order directly from our store at your selected pickup time.

Paid Delivery

We offer doorstep delivery through third-party delivery partners. Delivery charges are calculated and added separately at checkout.

2. How We Deliver Your Cake

The delivery method depends on the size and type of your cake.

Bento Cakes

Bento cakes, which are approximately 300g, are delivered using services such as Porter or Uber Package.

Standard & Custom Cakes

Standard, custom, large and designer cakes are delivered using cab-based services such as Uber, Rapido, Ola or inDrive, depending on availability and your location.

3. Delivery Charges

Delivery charges are not included in the price of the cake.

The final delivery charge is calculated at checkout based on:

• Distance between our store and your delivery location
• Delivery partner's current charges
• Any applicable surge charges
• Any discounts offered by the delivery platform

The delivery charge shown at checkout is the amount applicable to your order.

4. Where We Deliver

We currently deliver across Gurugram and Delhi NCR.

If your location is outside our usual delivery area, please contact us before placing your order so we can confirm whether delivery is possible.

5. Delivery Time & Same-Day Orders

You can select your preferred delivery time slot while placing your order.

Same-Day Delivery

Same-day delivery is available, subject to availability.

Simply select an available same-day delivery slot at checkout.

Custom, Tiered & Large Cakes

Custom, tiered and large-format cakes require additional preparation time.

We recommend placing these orders at least 24 hours in advance so that we have enough time to prepare the cake properly.

For elaborate designs, multi-tier cakes or large orders, please contact us in advance to confirm the required preparation time.

Delays

We make every effort to deliver your cake within the selected time slot. However, a small delay may sometimes occur because of traffic, weather, high demand or issues with the delivery service.

6. What Happens When the Driver Arrives

Please note that our cakes are delivered through cab-based delivery services for most standard and custom cakes.

The driver cannot leave the vehicle unattended.

When the driver reaches your location:

1. The driver will call you.
2. Someone must come downstairs to collect the cake from the vehicle.
3. The driver will hand over the cake to the person collecting the order.
4. Please ensure that someone is available to receive the cake during your selected delivery slot.

Kindly remain reachable during your delivery slot and ensure that someone is available downstairs when the driver arrives.

If nobody is available to collect the cake, the driver may have to leave or additional waiting/rebooking charges may apply.

7. Customer Responsibility at Delivery

Please check the cake when you receive it.

If you notice any visible damage to the cake or packaging at the time of delivery, please report it to the delivery driver immediately.

Because cakes are delicate and temperature-sensitive, we strongly recommend placing the cake in a suitable temperature-controlled environment as soon as you receive it.

8. Delivery Responsibility

Once the cake has been handed over to the delivery partner, the delivery is handled by the third-party delivery service.

We are not responsible for delays or issues caused by:

• Traffic
• Weather conditions
• Road closures
• Delivery partner availability
• Delivery platform issues
• Delays or mishandling by the delivery driver

We will, however, assist you in coordinating with the delivery partner whenever possible.

9. Important Information

• Cakes are perishable and temperature-sensitive.
• Please make sure someone is available to receive the cake during the selected delivery slot.
• The driver will call when they reach your location.
• Someone must come downstairs to collect the cake from the vehicle.
• Drivers cannot leave their vehicles unattended or bring the cake upstairs.
• Please keep your phone reachable during the delivery slot.
• Same-day delivery is available subject to available slots.
• Custom, tiered and large-format cakes should ideally be ordered at least 24 hours in advance.
• Belgstrew may need to reschedule a delivery in unforeseen circumstances. We will inform you as soon as reasonably possible.

10. Delivery Outside Our Standard Area

If you require delivery outside Gurugram or Delhi NCR, please contact us before placing your order.

We will check whether delivery is possible based on the distance, cake type and availability of a suitable delivery partner.
